CELEBRATING A DECADE OF THE TYREPOWER CUTTING AT BATHURST

This year’s Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 is a big one for Australia’s independent tyre retailer, Tyrepower, who will be celebrating a decade of sponsoring one of the biggest motor races in Australia.

Bathurst is scheduled for 8-11 October in NSW, and this year’s race marks the tenth year of Tyrepower sponsoring the race, with the sponsorship beginning in 2005.

The brand has since increased its presence at the legendary track, with highly visible signage and its sponsorship of ‘The Tyrepower Cutting’, an infamous corner of the track which has seen many accidents, excitement and exchanges in this time.

As the pinnacle race of the V8 Supercar season, Bathurst is watched by thousands of spectators at the track and millions of viewers at home on television and via digital mediums, and Tyrepower is proud to be included in all of the action for the tenth year running.

“We receive excellent exposure through the Tyrepower signage at one of Australia’s best known corners, The Tyrepower Cutting. This has been the scene of many scrapes, accidents and heated exchanges between drivers, such as Greg Murphy and Marcos Ambrose in 2005,” said David Wilson, Tyrepower Chief Executive Officer.

“Tyrepower is proud to have been involved with Bathurst for the last ten years. We are also proud to promote our brand to a huge national audience, many of whom are Tyrepower customers whose passion for both V8 Supercars and their own vehicles helps keep our Tyrepower members in business.

“We are excited to again be the Power behind The Tyrepower Cutting!”

ABOUT TYREPOWER:
Established in 1977 and operating in all states and territories around Australia, Tyrepower has over 300 independent stores within its National network.

Tyrepower is Australia’s largest independent tyre retail chain, and recognised by many of the larger tyre manufacturers as a primary distribution channel in Australia.

Tyrepower enjoys preferential buying arrangements with key industry players such as Toyo, Kumho, Goodyear, Dunlop, Kelly, Continental, Pirelli, Maxxis, Cooper, ROH Wheels, Speedy Wheels, Mullins Wheels, and Century Batteries.

These relationships allow Tyrepower stores to offer Australian consumers, flexibility, savings and value across leading brands.
