Forklift Tyres

Looking for quality forklift tyres from leading brands? Your local Tyrepower store has you covered with a range of high-quality tyres to suit the floor surface and conditions of all interior and exterior environments. Check out the tyre types we currently offer below and contact us for expert advice on the forklift tyres we have in stock.

Tyre Types

Forklift tyres are either standard or press-on. Standard tyres are fitted the same way as a car tyre and the more durable and versatile of the two types, while press-on tyres are easier to fit but are best suited to smooth floor terrain. Here are some of your options:

Solid Tyres

The most common forklift tyre type and available as standard and press-on tyres. Solid forklift tyres are puncture-proof and won’t go flat, making them extremely durable and ideal for indoor environments. As they’re not cushioned, solid tyres aren’t recommended for outdoor use or rough/uneven floor surfaces.

Cushion Tyres

One of the most popular tyres used on forklifts, cushion tyres are a press-on tyre that’s best suited to indoor environments with smooth floor surfaces. A great choice for warehouses, processing plants, factories and similar environments.

Pneumatic Tyres

These tyres are one of the best choices for forklifts which operate on rough or uneven terrain, as the thick tread and air-filled rubber tyre cushions the forklift, helping to extend its lifespan and minimises the need for repairs.

Along with these popular forklift tyre types, polyurethane, foam-fill and non-marking forklift tyres are also available.

How to Select Forklift Tyres

The two most important considerations when buying forklift tyres are the tyre construction and the tyre tread. Choosing the right tyre type is important for workplace safety and efficiency, along with durability, so consider the floor surface, conditions and environment to make the right decisions. Thicker tyres with deep tread, like pneumatic tyres, are your best choice for rough and uneven surfaces, while cushion and solid tyres with relatively flat tread are best for smooth interior surfaces.
